Physical Medicine Modalities

Patients will often say, “I think it’s muscular.”

The vast majority of the time, they are entirely right! Most mechanical joint injuries have a part that involves muscles. It’s hard not to. Even when a joint is injured, the pain and reflexes that ensue often result in muscle pain and disfunction. This is way Chiropractic Adjustments might not be enough, or even the thing that works best for every condition.

“Physical Medicine Modalities” entails a broad scope of treatments designed to treat conditions involving the nerves, muscles and joints which compliment the effects of the Adjustment. During a typical visit, your Chiropractic Physician will use techniques and instruments such as Stretching, Exercise, Mobility Bands, Neuromuscular Reeducation, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy, TENS stimulation, Spinal Decompression, KT Taping and more in order to specifically address the Soft Tissue components to your condition. Some people use these therapies to recover from issues that arise from working out, sports, work, or just simply to improve function.

We want to make sure we’re doing everything we can to get our patients the relief they want as quickly as possible. Often, we find Physical Medicine Modalities just make relief come a little quicker or even a lot quicker.
